Dan Barrett is a Web Developer with over 5 years experience as a full-time developer. Having dabbled in making websites since 2006 he has turned a hobby into a career.

Before becoming a full-time Web Developer he previously worked as a Systems Engineer and Apple Certified Macintosh Technician. His articles on OS X Mavericks server were hugely popular with both casual server users along with fellow engineers (including many at Apple).

Having worked in Perth and Melbourne, he is happily based in Melbourne (his hometown) and along with working full-time writing enterprise PHP applications he enjoys keeping fit at the gym and going on hikes with his wife.

He is not seeking new employment opportunities at this time.
